How Long Does a Walk-In Cooler Repair Take?

Most common walk-in cooler repairs are finished in the same visit — usually 1 to 3 hours including diagnosis — for a fan motor, capacitor, contactor, thermostat, defrost control, gasket, or a charge correction after a leak repair. Jobs that need an ordered part (compressor, evaporator coil, case-specific board) add a day or two, and a compressor changeout is a half to full day of on-site work.

Same-visit repairs (1–3 hours)

The technician carries the high-probability parts, so these are typically done on the first trip:
